LEVEGER Journal
(LJUOZ) is a peer-reviewed academic quarterly journal, publishing four issues per year, and is issued by the College of Education, University of Zakho, Kurdistan Region – Iraq.
The journal is dedicated to publishing original scientific research and high-quality academic studies, contributing to the advancement of scientific research and the enrichment of knowledge in the fields of education and related sciences, in accordance with approved academic and peer-review standards.

In light of the rapid developments in the fields of teaching and learning, the need to publish scientific research addressing educational topics has become more urgent than ever. Scientific journals are considered one of the fundamental tools for exchanging knowledge and innovations in educational fields and for opening new horizons to improve educational practices. Accordingly, the establishment of a peer-reviewed academic journal focusing on educational sciences emerges as a vital step toward providing a specialized scientific platform for researchers and practitioners in this field.

The journal seeks to serve as a specialized academic platform aimed at promoting scientific research in the fields of education and learning. The idea of establishing the journal came in response to the growing needs in educational research and aims to provide scientific solutions to emerging educational challenges while keeping pace with recent developments at both local and international levels. The College of Education Journal for Educational Sciences follows a rigorous scientific methodology to ensure the quality and credibility of academic content. This methodology is based on the following principles:

  1. Rigorous Peer Review: The journal adopts a double-blind peer-review system, where manuscripts are evaluated by specialized reviewers without revealing the identities of authors or reviewers, ensuring objectivity and academic integrity.

  2. Diversity of Topics: The journal embraces a comprehensive approach covering curriculum studies, teaching methods, educational psychology, educational assessment, educational administration, digital education, physical education, and sports sciences.

  8. Desk rejection rate: 20%.

  9. Plagiarism threshold: 20%.

  10. AI usage allowance: 30%.

  11. Plagiarism and misconduct procedures:

  • Internal investigation by the editorial or ethics committee.

  • Requesting clarification from the author.

  • Additional expert review when necessary.

  • Immediate rejection if misconduct is confirmed.

  • Retraction of published articles if required.

  • Notification of the author’s affiliated institution.

  • Academic sanctions, including temporary or permanent submission bans.

  1. Publication fees follow the policies adopted by journals accredited by the University of Zakho.

 

Publication Policy

  • Frequency: Quarterly (four issues annually), published on March 30, June 30, September 30, and December 30.

  • Languages of publication: Arabic, Kurdish, and English.

  • Electronic publishing: Digital publication plays a central role, ensuring rapid and broad access to published research.

 

Required Procedures for Establishing the Journal

  1. Defining the journal structure, including the editorial board, editorial policies, and publication standards.

  2. Establishing an official journal website for submission, review, and publication.

  3. Exploring collaboration with academic publishers to enhance distribution and visibility.

  4. Developing a marketing and promotion plan to reach researchers and educational institutions globally.

  • Launching the first issue within six months from the start of operations.
